Motorists should avoid the areas along and around the parade route, including N Harvey Avenue, NW 11th Street, NW 5th Street, Walker Avenue, and Oklahoma City Blvd. Commuters should use alternate routes and allow for extra time when traveling in the area.
There will be significant travel delays on Monday. Additional road closures, parking and lane restrictions may be necessary during and prior to the event to maintain public safety.
Streets will reopen as early as conditions allow.
Parade Route/Road Closures
Road Closures
There will be significant travel delays beginning Monday morning. Road closures along and around on the parade route will begin at 8 a.m., on Monday, June 23 and extend into Tuesday until the parade concludes.
The streets running east and west of Harvey Avenue, Walker Avenue, and Robinson Avenue along the parade route will be closed. The streets running north and south of NW 5th Street and Oklahoma City Blvd along the parade route will be closed. These street closures will be in effect beginning at 8 a.m., on Monday, June 23.
Commuters should allow for extra time on Monday and Tuesday. Roads will open as safety allows on Tuesday afternoon.
Additional streets surrounding the parade area will have very limited access to ensure safety and accessibility for all those who are attending and participating.
There will be parking restrictions along and around the parade route. These restrictions go into effect Monday, June 23 into Tuesday, June 24.
Cars parked in temporary no parking zones will be relocated at the owner's expense. Cars parked on the interstate will be relocated at the owner’s expense.

EMBARK and OKC Streetcar Service
EMBARK will have several service alerts in effect during the parade, thank you for your patience—and for being part of this historic day!

OKC Streetcar - Streetcars will not operate until the parade ends. Service on the Downtown loop will begin when Oklahoma City Police Department (OCPD) have cleared the route, and will run as scheduled until midnight.

Shuttle Service (Park & Ride) - EMBARK
EMBARK will provide complimentary special event shuttle service to and from the parade from three designated Park & Ride locations. Buses will depart from 7 to 9:30 a.m. Drop-off locations will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please be prepared for extended wait times at pick up and drop-off locations.
NOTICE: You must get back on the same shuttle as your drop off location in order to arrive at your original pick up destination.

Parking Restrictions
Expect to park and walk a long way to the parade route. Wear comfortable shoes, light clothes and bring plenty of water. Most of the lots around the parade site will charge for parking. Please plan for delays and modifications at some parking locations due to the parade. On-Street Parking – Will be available but prohibited in designated areas impacted by parade activities. Signage will be posted at least 24 hours in advance, and vehicles parked in restricted areas will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Convention Center Garage – Open to the public while availability lasts. Ingress and Egress via E.K. Gaylord Boulevard ONLY.

Arts Garage – Closed to the public. Available to essential OKC city employees. Entry to the garage only available via N. Hudson and Main St. until 8:30 a.m.

Century Center Garage – Open to the public while availability lasts.

Sheridan Walker Garage – Closed to the public beginning 48-hours prior to the parade and reserved for event staff only.
There will be parking restrictions along and around the parade route. These restrictions go into effect on Monday, June 23, at 8 a.m., and extend into the evening on Tuesday, June 24. Please obey all “Temporary No Parking” signs.
Cars parked in temporary no parking zones will be relocated at owner's expense. Cars parked on the interstate will be relocated at owner’s expense.

Safety Information
Oklahoma City’s Office of Emergency Management is coordinating the public safety planning for the parade. Public safety officials will be located throughout the route, along with parade volunteers. Notify them immediately if you see something suspicious or need assistance.
The parade route has been planned with the safety and security of fans in mind. The City of Oklahoma City anticipates large crowds. With that in mind, city services and business operations will be impacted.
The parade area will be restricted air space on the day of the parade. Use, operation, deployment, or monitoring of any aerial vehicle, including but not limited to any fixed wing rotor aircraft, drone, rocket, powered balloons, ultralights, or model aircraft, regardless of whether controlled by line of sight, radio frequency, tethers, or any other means, is prohibited at any time during the parade. Violators may be subject to prosecution and fines for violations of FAA regulated airspace restrictions.
ATTENDEE INFORMATION:

Do not leave bags unattended and immediately contact police if they notice an unattended bag.

Make a plan regarding travel, parking, public transit, supervision of children and wear comfortable and weather-appropriate attire.

Be prepared to walk, as road closures near the parade route will lead to traffic congestion and delays.

Make a plan in case you become separated from your party, including identifying emergency meet-up points in case of separation. Look for landmarks. It is recommended that you take photos of your family in the event that you need to locate them and identify what they are wearing.

Ensure children have contact information for their parents or guardians on their person. Write your number on a bracelet, on their wrist, or a piece of paper in their pocket.

With large crowds, loud noises, and summer heat, officials strongly encourage you to leave your pets at home.

Family Reunification Center will be located at NW 6th and Hudson.

MEDICAL
Attendee safety is a top priority. EMSA will provide a strong and visible EMS presence throughout the event, with highly trained personnel deployed via ambulances, ATVs, bicycles, and walk-teams to ensure rapid response across the entire two-mile route. In addition, OU Health will staff multiple Cooling Stations and First Aid Tents, offering shaded or air-conditioned relief, rehydration, and immediate care for heat-related issues and minor injuries.

General Safety

Be advised of weather: Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Dehydration can occur quickly in warm weather, especially for children, older adults, and those riding in the parade.

Food options: Food options along the route are severely limited, please plan accordingly with pre-made or packaged snacks.

Wear Appropriate Clothing: Lightweight, light-colored, and loose-fitting clothing helps keep you cool. Don’t forget hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.

Know the Signs of Heat-Related Illness: Watch for symptoms of heat exhaustion or heat stroke such as dizziness, nausea, confusion, excessive sweating, or lack of sweating. Seek medical help immediately if these symptoms occur.

We are encouraging parade attendees with accessibility needs to use Bicentennial Park to view parade.
All local TV stations plan live parade coverage. KWtV News 9 is providing the official broadcast of the Champions Parade. The parade will be streamed on the Thunder mobile app and on YouTube @OKCThunder.

Some employers may still be conducting business during the parade. Residents and visitors need to be respectful of restaurants and businesses.
